Amazon FBA COVID-19 Restrictions

Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, companies across the world have had to change business procedures and protocols - this includes Amazon. It's vital to stay up-to-date on the latest guidelines put forth for sellers, so your business can continue to thrive! In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Amazon has implemented restrictions on FBA shipments for numerous categories. These restrictions restrict all FBA shipments except for the categories listed below, (restrictions are in place until April 5th).
- Baby Products
- Health & Household
- Beauty & Personal Care (including personal care appliances)
- Grocery
- Industrial & Scientific Pet Supplies
This mean you cannot create and send in shipments for items outside of those categories. Any items you have currently available via FBA will continue to be available. Fulfillment by Merchant is still available for all categories. Click here to read more. Click here to read more.

Tips & Tricks for Fulfillment by Merchant
Focus on items that are easy to ship.
For example, items that are under 1 pound and can be shipped via USPS first class mail in a polymailer or padded envelope. Ensure you are including the shipping to customer cost when calculating ROI & Profit Margin.

Stock up on shipping supplies ASAP
Setup up your shipping setting for expedited shipping & two-day shipping.
Customers may want to use expedited shipping or two-day shipping.
This can be setup in Amazon Seller Central under Settings then Shipping Setting.
Add an adequate cost for both expedited shipping and two-day to ensure the buyer covers the shipping costs.
